Not only has Lana Del Ray taken the music industry by storm she is making her mark as a style icon too. The sultry songstress is known not only for her smooth, soulful, seductive voice but also her signature retro look. As the face of H&M’s Autumn/Winter Campaign 2012 Lana definitely nails her trademark 60’s look with her voluminous bouffant hairstyle and dramatic cat-eye make-up.

Suffering from major hair envy? Don’t worry get Lana Del Ray’s glamorous retro waves with this easy step by step guide.

Start by blow- drying your hair out as big as possible using a medium barrel brush.
When your hair is dry blast section by section with cold air for 15 seconds as this will seal the cuticle of your hair which will help to hold the style longer.
Next, starting at the root, wrap sections around the base of a large barreled tong twisting the hair as you go. Hold for 10 seconds maximum, then release the section, tugging the end slightly to encourage an ‘S’ wave.
Once the hair has cooled brush through from top to bottom with a bristle brush.
Lastly spritz the brush with hairspray and run it over for sleek glamorous waves just like Lana!!
